Forrest Munden has spent over two decades on the front lines of emergency medicine as a Firefighter Paramedic. What started as a passion for helping people has grown into a mission to equip EMS professionals with the knowledge they need to perform at their best — every call, every time.

After years of watching students struggle with dense, over-complicated study materials, Forrest set out to create something different. The EMS Notes series was born from a simple idea: give students exactly what they need to know, in plain language, organized for how EMS providers actually think and work.

Now in its 26th edition, EMS Notes has become a trusted resource used in classrooms, firehouses, and ambulances nationwide. Thousands of EMTs and Paramedics have used EMS Notes to pass their certification exams and strengthen their clinical knowledge.

Forrest continues to work in the field and update the EMS Notes series to reflect the latest NREMT guidelines and evidence-based protocols. He believes that well-trained EMS providers save lives — and that good study materials are the first step.
